1. Wear parts of jaw crushers
The wear parts of jaw crushers mainly include movable jaw plates, fixed jaw plates, side guards, elbow plates, bearings, spring pull rods and spring components. These components are subject to huge impact and friction during the crushing process, and are prone to wear, breakage and other problems.
Moving jaw plate and fixed jaw plate:
Function: The movable jaw plate and fixed jaw plate are the main working parts of the jaw crusher, responsible for the crushing of materials.
Wear condition: During the crushing process, the edges of the fixed and movable jaw plates will produce severe wear, and the wear is mostly concentrated in the middle and lower parts.
Solution: When one end of the fixed and movable jaw plates is worn, they can be turned around and used (if the design allows). In order to extend its service life, high manganese steel and other materials with good hardness and wear resistance are generally selected, such as ZGMn13 material. The replacement cycle of the fixed and movable jaw plates is generally from several months to about half a year, depending on factors such as the use conditions, stone hardness and equipment load.
Side guards:
Function: The side guards are located on the left and right inner sides of the jaw crusher frame to protect the body of the crusher.
Wear condition: The side guards will wear out under the impact of materials.
Solution: When the wear of the side guards reaches a certain extent, new side guards need to be replaced. The replacement cycle of the side guards is generally longer, usually about half a year, depending on the use conditions and the working intensity of the crusher.
Toggle plate:
Function: The toggle plate is an important component connecting the movable and fixed jaw plates, and is also a safety part of the crusher.
Wear condition: The toggle plate bears impact loads during the crushing process, but there is little friction under normal use.
Solution: The toggle plate needs to be checked and replaced regularly, and its replacement cycle is usually about half a year. The toggle plate and the toggle plate pad adopt a sliding contact method, and a layer of grease can be applied on their contact surface at ordinary times.
Bearings:
Function: The jaw crusher bearing adopts spherical roller bearings, which have good load-bearing and self-aligning performance.
Wear condition: The bearing mainly bears the radial load when the equipment is working, and will wear after long-term operation.
Solution: The replacement cycle of the bearing is generally more than one year, depending on the quality of the bearing, the conditions of use and the maintenance. In order to improve the service life of the bearing, bearing materials with high durability and load-bearing capacity can be used.
Spring tie rod and spring components:
Function: The spring tie rod mainly plays the role of connecting the adjustment seat and the rear support plate, and can also adjust the size of the discharge port and maintain the stability of the jaw plate. The main function of the spring component is to fix the elbow plate to prevent the elbow plate from falling off, and absorb and buffer the vibration and impact during the crushing process.
Wear condition: The spring tie rod and spring components will be damaged or fail during long-term use.
Solution: In actual operation, if the spring tie rod and spring components are found to be damaged or failed, they need to be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. Its replacement cycle is generally about half a year, depending on factors such as the conditions of use, work intensity and maintenance.
2. Jaw crusher lining
The lining is another important wear-resistant part in the jaw crusher, mainly including the fixed jaw lining (tooth plate), the movable jaw lining (tooth plate) and the two side linings (guard plates).
Function: The lining protects the crusher body and the movable and fixed jaw plates during the crushing process, and participates in the crushing process of the material.
Wear condition: The lining will be impacted and rubbed by the material during the crushing process, resulting in wear. Severely worn linings will cause the product particle size to become larger and reduce the crushing efficiency.
Solution:
• When the lining is initially worn, the lining can be turned around or the upper and lower pieces can be turned around (if the design allows).
• When the tooth plate is worn off by 3/5, a new lining needs to be replaced; when the linings on both sides are worn off by 2/5, new ones also need to be replaced.
• Materials with good wear resistance such as ZGMn13 can be used in material selection to increase the service life of the lining.
Installation and maintenance:
• When installing the lining, ensure that it is flat and firmly fixed on the crusher.
• Check the wear of the liner regularly and replace the severely worn liner in time.
