What is a vertical roller mill?
A vertical roller mill, also known as a vertical grinding mill or vertical mill, is a comprehensive grinding equipment integrating crushing, drying, grinding, grading, and conveying.
Vertical grinding mills can be widely used in electric power, metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, and other industries to make powder, especially for materials such as cement clinker, coal powder, slag, and non-metallic ore.
The technical parameters of the vertical roller mill for iron ore vary with different models but generally include processing capacity, finished product fineness, finished product moisture, size of the material entering the mill, moisture of the material entering the mill, moisture of the material entering the mill to be dried, air temperature entering the mill, air temperature leaving the mill, and power of the main motor.
The working principle of the vertical roller mill for iron ore is that the motor drives the grinding disc to rotate through the reducer, and the material falls from the feed port to the center of the grinding disc through the air lock feeder, and the hot air enters the mill from the air inlet. As the grinding disc rotates, the material moves to the edge of the grinding disc under the action of centrifugal force and is crushed by the grinding roller when passing through the annular groove on the grinding disc. After crushing, the material is lifted up by the high-speed airflow of the wind ring at the edge of the grinding disc, and the large particles fall directly onto the grinding disc for re-grinding. When the material in the airflow passes through the upper separator, the coarse powder falls from the cone bucket to the grinding disc for re-grinding under the action of the rotating rotor, and the qualified fine powder is discharged from the mill with the airflow and collected by the dust collection device, which is the product. The material containing moisture is dried during contact with the hot air flow. By adjusting the hot air temperature, the requirements of materials with different humidity can be met and the required product moisture can be achieved.

1. High efficiency and energy saving: The vertical roller mill adopts a large roller pressing system with high grinding efficiency and low energy consumption. Compared with the traditional tube mill, the power consumption of grinding is only 50%~60% of that of the ball mill, with a significant energy-saving effect.
