Ball Mills Explained
Ball mills are employed in the comminution stage as grinding machines (size reduction). The purpose of grinders in the mining industry is to reduce the feed material size in order to liberate the minerals from the barren rock. Ball mills are the most common grinding machines employed in the mining industry.
ORE BALL MILL
Output size: 0.074-0.89mm
Motor power: 18.5-480kw
Specification(mm): Φ750×750-Φ2700×4500
Applications: It is used for processing various grindable mineral materials, non-ferrous metal mineral processing, new building materials, etc.
The ore mill has a large crushing ratio, the fineness of the grinding product is easy to adjust, the sealing is strong, and it can be operated under negative pressure. It is widely used in chemical industry, metallurgy, new building materials and other fields.
We provide different types of ore ball mills for customers to choose from, including energy-saving ore ball mills, dry and wet ball mills, wet grid ball mills, wet overflow ball mills, etc. Customers can choose to purchase according to the material situation.
Ore dressing ball mill
Ore dressing is the most important link in the entire production process of mineral products. It is a process of separating useful minerals from useless minerals (usually called gangue) or harmful minerals in mineral raw materials by physical or chemical methods or by separating multiple useful minerals. This process is called ore dressing, also known as ore dressing.
Ore dressing ball mill
The ore dressing ball mill is an important ore grinding equipment. It refines ore into the required particle size through the mechanical action of collision and grinding, thereby improving ore dressing efficiency and ore grinding quality. In the ore dressing process, the ore dressing ball mill plays a vital role.
Ore dressing ball mill structure
Preparation before ore dressing is usually carried out in two stages: crushing and screening operation and mineral grading operation. Crusher and ore dressing ball mill are the main equipment in these two stages.
Working principle of ore ball mill
1. Ore feeding: The original ore enters the cylinder of the ore dressing ball mill through the feeding device.
2. Ball movement: A certain number and size of steel balls are installed in the ball mill. When the ball mill starts to operate, the steel balls rotate and continuously collide, grind, and crush the ore in the cylinder.
3. Ore Crushing: The ore is gradually crushed by the collision and grinding of the steel balls. Larger ores are ground into smaller particles, and the useful minerals in the ore are separated from the waste rock or impurities.
4. Grinding effect: As the ore continues to be crushed, the grinding effect gradually appears. The friction and extrusion between the ore particles and the steel balls will further refine the ore particles to the required fineness.
5. Classification: In the ball mill, some finer ore particles will be separated through screens or other classification equipment to achieve the required product particle size.
