Chrome spiral wash plant from the crushing point to the end product (Chrome Concentrate), Capacity of  150-170 t/h.

The Chrome Ore (ROM) to be processed is 38/40% which includes approximately 20% of Iron Ore. The feeding size for the ROM Ore must be 20mm - 900mm. The final product we want to achieve is 46/48% Chrome Concentrate, 75 - 250 microns in size.
 

What is a spiral chute?

 
A spiral chute is a gravity ore dressing equipment, which is particularly suitable for processing fine-grained minerals. It uses gravity, particle size, and shape differences, and the gravity and centrifugal force generated by the cyclone to layer mineral particles of different densities in the trough, thereby realizing the separation of minerals. The spiral chute has the advantages of a high ore dressing enrichment ratio, high recovery rate, reliable operation, strong adaptability, etc., and does not require power, has a large processing capacity, is easy to install, easy to operate, and has small investment and quick results.
 

What is the working principle of the spiral chute?

 
1. Material feeding: The material enters the interior of the spiral chute through the feed port, which is usually located at the top of the chute. The material can enter the trough body through gravity or other auxiliary devices. 
2. Spiral transmission: There is a spiral shaft inside the chute, which is usually located at the bottom of the trough body and is driven to rotate by an electric motor or other power device. The spiral blades are fixed on the spiral shaft. When the spiral shaft rotates, the spiral blades push the material to rotate together and move forward along the bottom of the chute. 
3. Material movement and classification: During the movement, the materials are classified according to their size, weight, and shape. Larger materials move forward relatively quickly and are discharged from the discharge port of the trough, while smaller materials move forward relatively slowly and are eventually discharged through the discharge port.
4. Sorting and discharge: Under the action of gravity and centrifugal force of the cyclone, the mineral particles of different densities move along their respective gyration radii, and finally intercept the fine, medium, and tailings at the end of the trough respectively, and discharge them through their respective discharge pipes, thus completing the sorting process.
