Introduction to limestone materials
Limestone is a block of stone mined by a limestone crusher in a limestone-crushing plant. Its main component is calcium carbonate (CaCO3), and it also contains clay, dolomite, magnesium carbonate, iron oxide, silicon oxide, and some organic impurities.
So what is the use of limestone?
Limestone itself can be used as a raw material in the construction and industrial fields. Limestone can be made into limestone powder after being processed by a limestone crusher and a limestone mill. Limestone powder can be calcined to produce quicklime. Quicklime can be widely used in desulfurization in power plants. After adding water, slaked lime can be obtained. Slaked lime can be mixed to obtain lime slurry and lime paste, which are used as processing materials for coatings and brick and tile adhesives.
1. Primary crushing of limestone
First, large pieces of limestone are evenly fed into the limestone crusher through the silo by a vibrating feeder for
primary limestone crushing. Limestone that meets the fineness is sent to the limestone crusher, and limestone that does not meet the fineness is returned to the
limestone hammer crusher for re-crushing.
2. Limestone grinding
The
limestone ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device with gear transmission on the outside. It is usually composed of a feeding part, a discharging part, a rotating part, and a transmission part (reduction gear, small transmission gear, motor, and electronic control). The material is fed into the first bin of the mill evenly through the feeding device through the hollow feeding shaft spiral. The bin has a stepped lining or a corrugated lining, which contains steel balls of different specifications. The centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the cylinder brings the steel balls to a certain height and then falls, which has a heavy impact and grinding effect on the material. After the material is roughly ground in the first bin, it enters the second bin through a single-layer partition board. The bin is inlaid with a flat lining board and contains steel balls to further grind the material. The powder is discharged through the discharge grate plate to complete the grinding operation.
